Managing health services in this sector brings a large degree of complexity, which brings Challenges in great proportions. Objective: To know how the management, organization and operation of the Surgical Center is performed, as well as to verify the facilities and difficulties in the dynamics of work and in the provision of services. Method: This is a descriptive field research with a qualitative approach, performed through a script of semi structured interviews. The research was carried out at the Surgical Center of a Philanthropic Hospital, in the city of Salvador-BA, the study population was composed of nurses with at least one year of experience. Results: shows the difficulty of the integration of the multiprofessional team, together with absence of night service, and consequent work overload for daytime service. Objective: To know the preventive measures for Pressure Ulcer (UPP) applied by nurses in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (ICU), highlighting the importance attributed to these professionals to the implemented measures, besides presenting the challenges and the difficulties that they encounter in the execution Of actions to prevent the UPP. Method: This is a descriptive, qualitative-based field study conducted at the Pediatric ICU of a state public hospital located in the city of Salvador, Bahia. The data obtained were through a semi-structured interview script, constituting as participants, nurses who were present at the ICU at the time of the research. Results: The change of position was highlighted as a preventive measure and nutritional status as a risk factor for developing PU. Regarding the importance of performing preventive actions, it is worth mentioning the reduction of the patient's length of stay in the ICU and the prevention of infections. The difficulties reported by the nurses are evident that there are deficiencies in both human and material resources to promote patient care. Objective: To know the importance and function of the nurse in home care. Method: This is a review of the literature, through the survey of published research between 2007 and 2016, with free and complete text availability. We included studies in Spanish, English and Portuguese, delimiting date of publication in the electronic databases VHL, LILACS and SCIELO. The results obtained were transcribed and presented in descriptive form, and organized in tabular form. In this sense, he observed that the nurse in the home, has diversity and complexity and plays a fundamental role in the health of the patient in the practice of the home exercise. Final considerations: The study allowed to conclude that the role and importance of the nurse in the domicile are fundamental in the AD, in which these professionals manage to develop a significant work through the educational practices in health in the home environment. The notification of an AE event can contribute to the awareness of its magnitude, enabling the implementation of prior strategies to prevent avoidable errors in order to ensure patient’s safety and the quality of care provided. Objective: To analyse the occurrence of Adverse Events in Hospitals located in the state of Bahia/Brazil, in between the years of 2015 and 2016. Methods: This is a descriptive, exploratory study, based on data obtained from the Health Surveillance Notification System (NOTIVISA). The study population comprises of patients having adverse events related to health care in Hospitals located in the state of Bahia/Brazil in between the year of 2015 and 2016. Results: In 2015, it was noted that 57 cases of AE were reported, amongst (54,3%) were men’s, against 515 cases in 2016 with a majority of women (51,2%). In the year of 2015, the age group from 18 to 65 years old represented (42,1%) with an increase to( 45,8%) in 2016. Among the AE reported, the pressure ulcer prevailed with (52,7%) in 2015 and 19,6% in 2016, followed by the falls of patients with( 33,4% ) in 2015 and (19,6%) in 2016. The highest frequency was classified as light damage with (40,3%) in 2015 and (75,9%) in 2016. Conclusion: As a consequence, there is a need to raise the professional’s awareness to the importance of an effective notification and promotion of actions to improve and minimize the risks to the patients and, consequently, reduce unnecessary expenditures for the treatment of events that could be avoided.Item Violência por queimadura em mulheres: uma análise epidemiológica a partir das notificações. Objective: To identify the epidemiological profile of women victims of burnout violence and the circumstances involved, based on the SINAN notifications. METHODS: This is a quantitative ecological study carried out by consulting the reports of burn-related violence in women from SINAN notifications in the years 2009 to 2012, totaling 2,541 notifications. The variables race, grade of schooling, age group, place of occurrence, aggressor and outcome of the cases were used. The incidence was estimated for 100,000 inhabitants. Results: Black women represent 43.9% of the reports, adults between 20 and 59 years were the most violated with 46% and children <10 years with 32%. The residence was the predominant place, being in 74.7% of the cases, the perpetrators were mostly relatives and spouses with 33.9% and 17.8%, respectively, standing out the person as aggressor in 21 , 3% of the cases. The hospital discharge was the main outcome with 70.3% followed by death by violence with 4.7%. The southern region of Brazil has the highest incidence rate, 0.9% and the North region the lowest rate 0.4%. With the transformations occurring in the scope of night work, the implications of this modality have impacted on workers' health in an incisive way. The nurse is one of the professionals who cares at night and is exposed directly to the negative predispositions of working at night. OBJECTIVE: to investigate the scientific evidences about night work and its implications for the nurse METHODOLOGY: This is a descriptive-qualitative bibliographic research with publications available in the LILACS (Latin American Literature in Health Chronicles) databases, SCIELO (Scientific Electronic Library online), PUBMED (US National Library of Medicine) and MEDLINE (Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Online). We found 15 articles in Portuguese, original, published between 2011 and 2017. RESULTS AND DISCUSSIONS: The nurse is the professional who is very vulnerable to the development of the implications of performing the service at night. The adherence of methods and behaviors that alleviate the impacts of night work for the individual is important and contributes positively to the prevention of night work conditions. CONCLUSION: Nursing work is organized in shifts to provide uninterrupted care and meet the population's demand for health services. Objective: This article aims to identify in the scientific literature the factors associated with abusive use of alcohol by the elderly population. Methodology: This is an integrative review of a descriptive character, in the Portuguese language with publications in the period 2008-2015, available in electronic databases such as Google Scholar, SCIELO (Sientific Electronic Library Online), VHL (Virtual Health Library) and in electronic health journals. Results: Study shows damages caused by alcohol use affect society as a whole intensifies when referring to alcohol and alcohol abuse, and alcohol dependence increases the risk of family disruption, has negative consequences for the health and well-being of the family. quality of life of the elderly, increasing the risk of morbidities that lead to death or functional limitations as violent mental disorders. Final considerations: To conclude the study, it is important to emphasize the high rate of alcohol abuse by elderly people, with this we see a panorama of the current issues of old age, as fundamental elements in society. OBJECTIVE: GENERAL - To analyze the importance of educational actions in prenatal care. SPECIFIC: identify the educational actions performed by the prenatal care team, and understand the pregnant women's perception of educational actions in prenatal care. METHODOLOGY: This study deals with a descriptive narrative review with a qualitative approach, elaborated through the Virtual Health Library (VHL) database, Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Online (MEDLINE); Latin American and Caribbean Literature in Health Sciences (LILACS); Scientific Eletronic Library OnLine (SCIELO); Nursing Database (BDENF). Eleven articles in the Portuguese language published in the period 2007-2015 are used. RESULTS AND DISCUSSION: The actions performed by the nurse should focus on the biopsychosocial and emotional aspects related to prenatal care that were characterized by the reception and educational actions, as well as the aspects maternal and fetal health promotion. The pregnant women recognize the importance of prenatal educational activities in relation to the preparation for childbirth and the care of the newborn. OBJECTIVE: To analyze the role of the Nurse in the ACCR in a Emergency Care Unit, in addition to discussing the importance of CRC to the nurses in the Emergency Care Unit. METHODOLOGY: This study is characterized as a descriptive research with a qualitative approach. It was performed with nurses who work in the ACCR of a Unit of Emergency Care (UPA), for the collection of data was used as technique the semi-structured interview. CONCLUSION: The work presented brought the view of the importance of the nurse in the ACCR, of the difficulties and facilities found by the professionals of a UPA. The CCR despite being installed, there are needs, as identified by professionals such as, professional shortages and high patient demand. Objective: Identify and understand the challenges in Brazilian awareness of organ donation. Methodology: This is an exploratory-descriptive research, with a qualitative approach, carried out on a documentary basis, operationalized as an integrative review of the literature. Results: Regarding the source of publication of the selected articles, two articles were obtained by international journals, being published in: Saud J. Kidney Transplant and Basknet University Publisher; the other journals were national, and four articles were published in: Arquivo Catarinense Medicina (ACM), Revista Bioética, Texto & Contexto Enfermagem and Caderno Saúde Coletiva. The established languages of the articles were: four in Portuguese and two in English. The countries of origin of these studies were: one in Nigeria, one in Malaysia, and the other four in Brazil. Final Considerations: It is noted that there is a main refusal of the family and the population itself, since they do not have enough knowledge about organ donation and the whole process that involves it.Item Doença pulmonar obstrutiva crônica (DPCO) no atendimento domiciliar: relato de caso(Universidade Catolica de Salvador, 2018-06-11) Peixoto, Maily Moura; Santos, Sélton Diniz dos; lattes.cnpq.br; Reis, Flávia Prazeres; lattes.cnpq.br; Santos, Josely Bruce dos; lattes.cnpq.brLa persona con EPOC presenta una deficiencia ventilatoria crónica profundamente incapacitante, responsable de los impactos en el desarrollo de actividades familiares o comunitarias, comprometiendo así su calidad de vida. Objetivo: El objetivo de este trabajo es discutir la asistencia a la persona con Enfermedad Pulmonar Obstructiva Crónica (EPOC) en la atención domiciliaria de Cataluña. Metodología: Para la formación de este estudio, se reportará un caso clínico de un paciente que se encontraba en el estadio más avanzado de la EPOC, acompañado por el equipo del Centro de Atención Primaria (CAP) de la ciudad de Premiá de Mar, Barcelona, España, junto a estudiantes de Enfermería de la Universidad Católica del Salvador (UCSal) durante el Programa de Movilidad Académica. Resultados: La historia clínica previa del paciente fue caracterizada por vastas comorbilidades que generaron una enorme lista de fármacos prescritos con distintas indicaciones, llamando la atención sobre la práctica de la prevención cuaternaria a fin de reducir el riesgo de iatrogenia. Este paciente era dependiente para realizar las actividades básicas de la vida diaria y contaba con el cuidado de la familia. Conclusión: Al final se concluye que es necesario que la enfermería promueva, a través de la educación, la independencia para la realización de las actividades, el autocuidado, la mejora de las funciones comprometidas, preservando la autoestima y el autocontrol, garantizando el bienestar en general.Item Perfil clínico-epidemiológico de coinfecção por tuberculose e HIV no município de Salvador, Bahia, no período de 2008 a 2017(Universidade Catolica de Salvador, 2018-06-11) Hayne, Layla Morbeck Pellegrini; Martins, Maísa Mônica Flores; http://lattes.cnpq.br; Santos, Tiago Alves dos; http://lattes.cnpq.brTB / HIV co-infection is currently considered the leading cause of death among infectious diseases globally. Bahia has 11 priority municipalities for the prevention of TB / HIV coinfection of 181 submitted by Brazil. Salvador stands out among the municipalities in the state with the highest number of reports of the disease (33,987), requiring greater attention to TB / HIV co-infection. Objective: To analyze the clinical and epidemiological profile of TB / HIV coinfection in the city of Salvador, Bahia, from 2008 to 2017. Methodology: This is an ecological, exploratory, descriptive study based on secondary data. We performed absolute and relative frequency analyzes, calculating the incidence of TB / HIV coinfection according to the year of occurrence and the laboratory confirmation incidence coefficient. Data were systematically organized using graphs and tables in Excel and analyzed in Stata 12. Results: A total of 2,028 cases of tuberculosis and HIV coinfection were reported, with a predominance of males, aged 45 to 54 years, who were declared black / brown, with incomplete high school education presenting pulmonary tuberculosis and new cases for the types of entrance in the health services. Final considerations: The clinical-epidemiological profile found is equivalent to the national profile of coinfection. However, there is a marked socioeconomic inequality in society, evidenced in the study through the level of schooling. Demonstrating through adherence the importance of self-care for quality of life. Objective: To identify how the multiprofessional team through health education actions can promote self-care in patients with diabetic foot. Methodology: This is an integrative review, using scientific articles published in full free online access, in the Portuguese, Spanish or English languages, available in the electronic databases of LILACS / BDENF / SciELO / MEDLINE / PubMed in the publication from 2013 to 2018. Results: According to the authors, it was possible to understand the attitude, knowledge and practice of the interdisciplinary team in health education for self-care and diabetic foot, investigating the main educational actions for family members and patients in orientation to make it multiplier of knowledge. Conclusion: In view of the above, the study shows that there are numerous difficulties encountered for the interdisciplinary actions in health education for self care and the diabetic foot among them it is possible to highlight; the resistance of the patients in the adherence to the actions and promotions, economic difficulty, absence of qualified professionals to provide the care, and resistance of the professionals in carrying out the planned actions.Item Mortalidades maternas relacionadas a distúrbios hipertensivos da gestação, no município de salvador, no período de 2006 a 2015(Universidade Catolica de Salvador, 2018-06-11) Santos, Larissa Gabrielle Peneda Gonçalves; Martins, Maísa Mônica Flores; http://lattes.cnpq.br; Martins, Maísa Mônica Flores; http://lattes.cnpq.br; Santos, Tiago Alves dos; http://lattes.cnpq.brMaternal mortality is the death of the woman during the gestational period, labor and puerperium. Hypertension is one of the leading causes of maternal death in developing countries such as Brazil. Objective: To analyze the profile of maternal deaths related to hypertensive disorders of gestation, in the city of Salvador, Bahia, from 2006 to 2015. Methodology: All the deaths of women aged 15 to 49 years were recorded and recorded in SIM and SINASC as residents of the Municipality of Salvador, Bahia, Brazil. Results: The results of the study revealed that the majority of deaths occur in women between the ages of 30 and 39, most of whom are single and of low schooling, and are considered a public health problem. Methodology: Used through the review of qualitative integrative literature, selected articles were published in the last 10 years (2007 to 2017), original articles in Portuguese language, produced in Brazil and indexed in the Virtual Health Library, after reading the abstracts were created thematic axes. Results: 23 articles were excluded from these articles, 01 were duplicated and 05 did not provide complete texts, 17 were used for the study, identified through a table with descriptions of the characteristics: author, title, periodical and type of study. Final Considerations: In general, the lack of studies with the theme "Prison Health" for new searches was observed. Because it is a vulnerable population, due to the conditions of the agglomeration place that makes it unhealthy, despite living with people in freedom, such as family members, health professionals, penitentiary agents and others, thus forming a public health concern. Health education is limited since there are not so many studies to base on the health of the incarcerated. Objective: Identify the scientific evidence on the knowledge and management of the nursing in the vaccine room, pointed out in the literature. Important to emphasize that this study contributes to reflect on the inadequate conducts in the vaccine room, providing grants for educational actions to improve the practices related to immunization, valuing the care and guidance of Nursing. Methodology: The integrative review was elaborated in order to answer the following guiding question: What barriers are pointed out in the literature about the knowledge of nursing professionals working in the vaccine rooms? The sample selection was: Scientific articles available in full, electronically, to address questions about knowledge of nursing professionals who work in vaccine rooms. Results: In the 10 articles analyzed, similar results are observed that point to the need for continued education of vaccine-room professionals, because in all publications, insufficient knowledge was identified in the aforementioned sector. The nursing audit is aimed at evaluating the quality of care provided to the patient, as well as reducingcosts for the health institution. The records of the multidisciplinary team is the main means of this evaluation. Objective: To analyze the relevance of nursing records for home care auditing, as well as to know the importance of the nursing registry for auditing, to identify the main reasons for glosses and to analyze the strategies that can be taken to reduce glosses. Methodology: This study is characterized as a descriptive research with a qualitative approach. Interviews were conducted with nursing home auditors from the city of Salvador. Results: Three categories of analysis emerged: Audit - a tool for quality of care and cost reduction; The importance of nursing records for auditing; Motives for glosses and strategies for their reduction. Final considerations: the present study brought the reflection to the health professionals and the academic ones as to the necessity of an adequate registry in the patient's chart for audit.Item ITU-RAS(Universidade Catolica de Salvador, 2018-06-12) Silva, Edivanea Maria Matos; Fernandes, Fátima Maria Nery; lattes.cnpq.br; Silva, Tamires Lima da; lattes.cnpq.br; Nascimento, Davi da Silva; lattes.cnpq.brTo analyze the epidemiological profile of urinary tract infection related to health care (ITU-RAS) in intensive care units (ICUs) of a Public State Hospital of Salvador. Material and methods: Epidemiological, descriptive, documental and retrospective study, performed at the ICUs of a Public State Hospital of Salvador, in the year 2017. All patients admitted to the ICUs who were notified with UTI in 2017 were included. Results: 23 patients with UTIs, 87% (20) of them in adult ICUs with an annual total of 17,437 patients / day; already in the pediatric ICU, 13% (03) of ITU was identified in a total of 3,060 patients / day. Of these patients with UTI, 56.5% were male in the adult ICU, and 100% in the pediatric ICU. The predictive risk factors for IYU were: ICU stay for more than 7 days and use of bladder catheter (SVD), both with (100%) and age above 65 years with (45%). The main microorganisms involved were Escherichia coli and Klebsiella Pneumoniae, both with 22.3%, followed by Enterobacter aerogenes and Enterococcus faecalis, both with 17.3%, and Pseudomonas aeroginosa 13.0%. Regarding bacterial resistance, Escherichia coli together with Klebsiella pneumoniae showed high resistance rates for the tested antibiotics. The most active against Escherichia coli were Aminoglycosides (gentamicin and amikacin) with 100% sensitivity. Conclusion: ITU is a frequent problem in critical environments, making it more urgent to implement safety measures and awareness of health professionals, such as the importance of hand hygiene in preventing infections.Item Assistência de enfermagem ao paciente em cuidado paliativos(Universidade Catolica de Salvador, 2018-06-12) França, Daniele Brito da; Silva, Tamires Lima da; lattes.cnpq.br; Nunes, Amélia Maria Pithon Borges; lattes.cnpq.br; Nascimento, Davi da Silva; lattes.cnpq.brIn the last decades the prevalence of chronic diseases has increased, due to the increase in longevity. On the other hand the technological advances have favored the development of new therapies with the objective of extending the limits of life. In the beginning, death was consummated in the patients' homes, where the family took full care of this, but with the transition of the health services supply, this care was transferred to the professionals, being relevant the preparation of these for the treatment of terminal patients OBJECTIVE: To analyze the national literature of the last seven years on nursing care for patients in palliative care. METHODOLOGY: Integrative literature review, carried out through a research in the Virtual Health Library (VHL) and developed with the databases MEDLINE, Latin American and Caribbean Literature in health sciences ( And, BDENF. The inclusion criteria were fulltext articles, published between 2010 and 2017. RESULTS: Three categories of analysis emerged: "Feelings of nursing professionals towards the care of the terminal patient" ; "Training and preparation of the nursing team for palliative care" and "Practical aspects of palliative care". 12 articles were selected from a total of 106. CONCLUSION: The research made it possible to broaden the understanding of nursing care to the patient in palliative care. It was perceived that this assistance is permeated by situations involving professionals such as the feelings about this care, the capacity to perform it and the practical aspects that guide it.
