Item Ações afirmativas na universidade estadual de Feira de Santana-UEFS: permanência das (os) estudantes cotistas no ensino superior(Universidade Catolica de Salvador, 2015-06-18) Oliveira, Carina Silva de Carvalho; Silva, Julie Sarah Lourau Alves da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4556425108523824; Garcia, Antônia dos Santos; Castro, Mary GarciaOver the last years, the debate about the implementation of affirmative actions has been intensified in the Universities of Brazil, by bringing up the issue on whether adoption of such policies would cause the racialization of the country, which criteria would be used to identify its beneficiaries, which impacts on the quality of Higher Education and the difficulties faced by minorities, regarding their permanence in the institution until the completion of the degree. This study aims to analyze the policy of affirmative actions in State University of Feira de Santana-UEFS, in Bahia. Thus, we intend to identify the impacts on the access and permanence of those minorities, i.e., the student assistance policy for the minorities permanance in Higher Education, focusing on UEFS as a field of study. In Brazil, the law 12.711/12 sanctions the quota system at the Federal Universities, reserving half of the vacancies of those institutions for black students, African-Brazilians and (those) who have fully attended Public High School. UEFS has adopted the quota system since 2007. The study presented here is based on an empirical research. In order to carry it out, a comprehensive literature review was necessary, accompanied by field research. It is also characterized by a participant observation. For data collection, written records have been used, mostly documents, in addition to those, structured and semi-structured interviews. These changes in the Higher Education system in the country show the relevance of this research, despite the advances, it is known that quotas are far from being the solution to socially vulnerable groups insertion, such as ethnic and racial minorities, however, its implementation becomes an instrument of democratization and search for equality, especially in historically built for the elite: the Universities in Brazil.Item A aporia da exclusão ou o paradoxo do capital: uma análise sobre o auxílio reclusão na sociedade do espetáculo(Universidade Católica do Salvador, 2015-11-30) Félix, Germana Pinheiro de Almeida; Silva, Antônio Carlos da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2735855153608701; Castro, Mary Garcia; Rocha, Sheila Marta CarregosaThis thesis aims to critically address the concept and implementation of aid-seclusion in the society of the spectacle, with the allegory of the Brazilian liberal democracy in contradiction with the idea of justice and the current stage of capital's structural crisis. However, what is in fact the aid seclusion will be singled out which are the guiding social security principles and how it outlines the Social Security, with special emphasis on the period between the Brazil Federal Constitution of 1988 to 2013 The answer to that question is far from simple, nevertheless, we insist that there seems to be, at first, an easy answer to this question. The old dichotomy between good and evil can not be easily diluted, even if the answers are shown subservient to the logic of capital. In this context, the role and purpose of the State shall be concomitantementes evaluated under the aegis of the ethical-moral subject is supplanting the subject-commodity.Item Com lenço e sem documento: identidades, ideário e relações familiares na luta e repressão política a Juventude Universitária Católica(Universidade Católica do Salvador, 2011-04-03) Di Gregorio, Maria de Fátima Araújo; Cavalcanti, Vanessa Ribeiro Simon; http://lattes.cnpq.br/; Castro, Mary Garcia; http://lattes.cnpq.br; Boaventura, Edivaldo Machado; http://lattes.cnpq.br; Arend, Silvia Maria Fávero; http://lattes.cnpq.br; Mattos, Wilson Roberto de; http://lattes.cnpq.brThis thesis is inserted on the line ‘Family and Society’, and investigates the Catholic University Youth – JUC - movement of significant action between the Totalitarianism and Democracy brasilian, with eyes on its history, identity, ideology and praxis which have defined their participation between 1930 and 1964. The approach is based on phenomenological hermeneutics ricoeuriana, anchored in the Social History and the method of historical study, empirical and qualitative. Semi-structured questionnaires were applied to a total of 30 people, recognised as jucists, privileging diversity on academic formation. The research shows the JUC as an expressive movement of the youth in those years, formed between the socio-religious militancy, conceptualised within the context of renewal of the Church - the one ot neo christianity and the University which gave them amalgamed identities between the catholic philosophy and interaction with other university social movements. This dynamic enabled the group shares a fight between Catholic identity and revolutionary practice, resulting in the Popular Action (AP). It was then that the group protruded beyond an organized social movement in advancing its ideology, assuming the identity of the fight, experiencing the Coup of 1964 which is established in the country in an atmosphere of tension and political repression, when the family acts as protective of its members.Item O combate institucional da violência contra a mulher: estudo comparativo entre Brasil, Portugal e Espanha na implantação de Políticas Públicas(Universidade Católica do Salvador, 2012-08-31) Carneiro, Valnêda Cássia Santos; Cavalcanti, Vanessa Ribeiro Simon; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6538283866214716; Quinteiro, Maria Esther Martínez; Boaventura, Edivaldo Machado; Gomes, Carlos Alberto Costa; Castro, Mary Garcia; Menezes, José Euclimar Xavier deThe passing of laws aimed to protect women against violence in Brazil. Portugal and Spain, airs this issue and favors a forward movement of women’s fight for efficacy and advances in everyday gender relationships. Through a law-theoretical approach owing to the juridical thought from these countries, this work aims to make a comparative study in the matter suitable to the historical circumstances in this first decade of the millennium. So, concepts as power, violence and institutions are analyzed in a law perspective to exhibit the juridical tools created to implement women’s protection and a deeper sight in gender relationships as well. Owing to cultural similarities Brazilian, Portuguese and Spanish laws on this matter are reviewed and compared. In consonance with the research program on Family and Society, this thesis provides the evidence of factual inability of law to produce effective protection and to acknowledge social equivalence between women and men, which leds to a deeper multidisciplinary approach. An interpretation scheme was built following the one created by Göran Therborn when studying the diminishing of fertility among women in France and United States. Therborn’s scheme is grounded on the connection between macroscopic phenomena and multiple individual decisions laying beneath it, which is the case in violence against women within a traditionally male-centered society. Through this methodology it was evidenced that law itself, even though needed, is not enough to preclude violence against women. A radical change in a deep-rooted cultural attitude is conditio sine qua non to establish a worldview in which women and men could be equally recognized as free and equivalent.Item Corpos enforcados, destroçados e desaparecidos: violência contra jovens negros em Salvador(Universidade Católica do Salvador, 2019-09-22) Cavalcante, Andaraí Ramos; Silva, Julie Sarah Lourau Alves da; http://lattes.cnpq.br; Carvalho, Inaiá Maria Moreira de; http://lattes.cnpq.br; Calazans, Márcia Esteves; http://lattes.cnpq.br; Castro, Mary Garcia; http://lattes.cnpq.br; Malomalo, Basilete; http://lattes.cnpq.br; Conceição, Fernando; http://lattes.cnpq.brThis thesis had as object of study the nexus between racism and the forms of concretization of the manifestations of violence against young blacks in Brazil, resulting from a historical construction of racism in structural molds, characteristic in social relations in this society and structuring in our country. Why are young black people victimized in the most diverse ways, as a result of a set of political actions that give rise to violations that have or may have as their final outcome their death, from a genocidal perspective? This thesis, elaborated in a qualitative perspective, had as its initial question: why is the young black man victimized in two types of violence, apparently concretized in different ways: murders resulting from military police actions, as operators of the public security system, and lynchings practiced by the population? Thus, the objective was to understand how this racism structures the manifestations of violence in the country from the analysis of cases of murders of young blacks resulting from the actions of military police and lynchings by the population in the city of Salvador, Bahia. The empirical study was based on cases identified and reported by the media and social networks between 2012 and 2017, after a decade of implementing affirmative policies in Brazil. For this purpose, "qualitative and interpretative social research" was carried out, because it took as reference the most diverse methodological procedures of social sciences. Theoretical contributions and studies on the subject were incorporated, as well as documents, public policies and norms produced within the State and proposals and experiences of struggles of black movements and social organizations to combat violence against young blacks. The research technique is episodic narratives of life history, with the use of semi-structured interview. The subjects interviewed for the research were differentiated, according to the empirical fields, in order to achieve the purposes of the thesis. They composed four groups of interviewees: relatives of the young murders; relatives, neighbors and friends and acquaintances in cases of lynching; members and/or representatives of public institutions and instances of public authorities and members of black social movements. he data was analyzed from a constraining matrix of episodic narratives of life stories in both cases. From the analysis and interpretation of the data, we obtained a greater and better understanding of the theme, which enabled us to highlight the similarities and differences in the approach between the interlocutors, both in cases of police violence and in cases of lynching. We also note that racism has contributed on a daily basis to the permanence of the occurrences of violence in contemporary times, particularly and fatally affecting black bodies, as a result of the establishment of a strong police criminal state and a ruthless criminal justice system. It is possible to see not only a silence, but also indifference, in general, on the part of society in relation to the high numbers of deaths of young black people. Despite the silence and indifference, various forms of protest have also been identified, especially the movements of the mothers of victims of state violence. In Salvador, the protests in the neighborhoods and the graffiti, attracted attention. It is the art being used as a mobilizer, as a way to denounce racism, racial violence that has black bodies as its main targets.Item Dilemas e perspectivas na formação de jovens aprendizes: análise de percursos juvenis construídos no programa de aprendizagem do setor bancário de Salvador(Universidade Catolica de Salvador, 2015-12-10) Ferreira, Josemario Melo; Castro, Mary Garcia; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5471996580293552; Freitas, Kátia Siqueira de; Silva, José Humberto daThis study aims to explore the youth courses in the qualification process and its connection with the learning programs of the banking sector in Salvador. Via interdisciplinary analysis of the labor practices and of the future perspectives of the young, facing a social and economic scenery of deep transformations, the study could verify the practical law enforcement by the banking institutions of Salvador, during the insertion process in the qualification program, and analyze the relationship between the expected-explicit in the Program and the accord by the teaching institution – and the practices experienced by the young apprentices during the execution of their activities. It also investigates to what point the labor experience of the young apprentices in the banking sector contributes to their citizen qualification. The trajectory of the young people is evaluated through analysis of the National Learning Program, according to the Law 10.097/00 as a public policy to introduce the young into the labor market. The research, which serves as a basis to the dissertation, has a qualitative, exploratory and comprehensive nature. The empirical field is composed by five young people inside the learning program, having at least six months of work contract in banks of the public or private area as the criteria for participation in the sample. In this sense, distinct views came forward among the expectations and the level of satisfaction during the immersion in the learning program. The instruments to collect data were semi-structured interviews, applied with the “Snowball” technique, or “chain of informants”, focusing on the construction of identities with the labor world and the contemporary challenges in the professional qualification and transition to adult life.Item Ecos do entrelace do contrato social com o contrato sexual: indivíduos, sexualidades e famílias contemporâneas(Universidade Católica do Salvador, 2014-11-26) Pereira, Marlene Brito de Jesus; Castro, Mary Garcia; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5471996580293552; Menezes, José Euclimar Xavier de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5194408237403794; Coutinho, Denise Maria Barreto; Messeder, Suely Aldir; Cavalcanti, Vanessa Ribeiro Simon; Alcântara, Miriã Alves Ramos deFrom provocative conjectures of the work The Sexual Contract, the theories of the social contract, the thesis aims to present and discuss the intertwining of social contract with the sexual contract. It consists of an argumentative strategy that shows the interdependence between the idea of individuals, families and sexualities in contemporary times. The interdisciplinary theoretical framework to seek refuge in Social Psychology and the Social Sciences not neutral in terms of gender. Generating questions summon: What is to be individual? And which results in contemporary conviction that appointment? That sexuality is spoken? What is family? A qualitative methodological design with the technique of multiple case studies highlights the social representations of three (03) participants families residing in the city of Salvador,BA: Sigma family consisting of father mother and two daughters, the Delta family, stepfather, mother and daughter. And the Gama family, consisting of mother and child. There are six women and three men aged between 27 and 64 years old, educated and belong to the urban middle social segment. The life story was the technique that took the main data, analyzed by the technique of discourse analysis. The thesis presents the proposal of the intertwining between contracts and adds the knowledge of individuals, families and sexualities, with representations and life stories of mothers, fathers, son and daughters, their experiences in childhood, youth, dating, romantic relationships, sexual, marriage and remarriage. The results indicate that nowadays the 'contracting individuals' are fragmented. There are conflicting sexualities named for historical perspectives and scripted sexualities. The idea of sexuality and families are chanceladas by interlace of contracts. The intertwining of the social contract with sexual widen understanding of the different ways that present individuals, families and sexualities. There interlace echoes of contracts in rules and regulations that involve building links, feelings, and seems to create a kind of league in the relations between the sexes. Theoretically it is my suggestion that interlace the echoes of the social contract with the sexual are in gender relations among individuals, families and sexualities. The Sigma families, Delta and Gamma seem very close to interlace and outcome of contracts. But does not mean that social individuals are completely intertwined. Its action may be in and out of that intertwine, undermining its hegemony, giving rise to the problem, the complaint of an asymmetric condition of social life.Item Entre a mulher e a mãe: reflexões sobre a vulnerabilidade psíquica das mulheres no pós-parto(Universidade Catolica de Salvador, 2017-11-27) Leal, Fernanda Andrade; Bastos, Ana Cecília de Sousa Bittencourt; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7406825750662792; Castro, Mary Garcia; Bacha, Marcia Simões Corrêa Neder; Cavalcanti, Vanessa Ribeiro Simon; Ferandes, Cláudia Mascarenhas; Menezes, José Euclimar Xavier deThis thesis arises from concerns that arose from the researcher psychoanalytic clinic practice, more specifically, about women in the puerperal state and during the first years of the baby's life, as well as the literature produced on this subject. It has been observed that the clinical testimony contrasts strongly with the premise disseminated by psychoanalytic societies that for Sigmund Freud the woman reaches its femininity and she feels realized as woman when she becomes mother. The present thesis, therefore, discusses both the Freudian premise that supposes to be equivalent the mother and the woman, collaborating to establish a normative model of mother, as well as, investigate in literature from various perspectives, the debate about the idealization of motherhood, which appears as one of the constructs that make the puerperium a period of intense psychic vulnerability. The main hypothesis is that the postpartum psychic vulnerability corresponds to a maternal psychological state proper to contemporary western societies. Starting from this hypothesis, the researcher seeks to identify what Freudian psychoanalysis offers for such reflection. For this discussion five discourses are focused: a) the place that the mother and the woman occupy in the Freudian theory, taking into account selected works of Sigmund Freud on the feminine and the hysteria; b) the place of mother and woman in the history of psychoanalysis, based on the french historian Elisabeth Roudinesco and the french psychoanalyst Jacques Lacan; c) the history of the myth of motherhood construction in western society, taking from the perspective of the french feminist historian Elisabeth Badinter; d) the sociological approach to motherhood, as it is approached by the american sociologist, feminist and psychoanalyst Nancy Chodorow; e) the particularities of the maternal field that the Perinatal Psychology has brought to light; and, finally, f) the father's place in the perinatal context. This discussion is based on reflections that take into account the clinical experience. The clinical material that serves to the analysis proposed, however, comes from the literature itself and not from the researcher personal clinic. It is, therefore, a psychoanalytic research combined with bibliographic-based documentary research.Item Fala garot@! Sobre sexualidades nas famílias e nas escolas: vozes juvenis que ecoam e transgridem(Universidade Catolica de Salvador, 2015-02-24) Silva, Karine Nascimento; Castro, Mary Garcia; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5471996580293552; Abramovay, Miriam; Cavalcanti, Vanessa Ribeiro SimonThis research presents reflections on human sexuality, moving through various looks, that trigger debates and at the same time foster silences, fragmentation and continued inquiry, specifically when referring people that do not coincide with current norms, that is, not obey the heteronormative model. The paper describes the research into the experiences, representations and experiences of youth, seen as decisive cycle for demarcation of gender differences, and think the issue of sexual diversity. The complexity of sexuality and plurality are still rejected both at school and in the family, often causing discrimination and exclusion of young people who do not fit the heterosexual patterns, socially prestigious. For these reasons, the research focused his research on the social representations d @ s youth about sexual diversity in the family and at school and how these narratives report violence, silence, transgressions and meetings in complicity. We seek to understand the social role of family and school in the dynamics of subjectivity formation, production and / or absence of practices / ideas that contribute to violence. In this sense, we opted for the empirical literature and a qualitative one, constructionist approach, using semi-structured interviews with young high school students in Jequié. For the organization and presentation of the data collected, we used the technique of content analysis. Theoretical framework resorted to author @ s area of Cultural Studies, Post-structuralists, feminist studies and Queer, namely: Beatriz Preciado (2011), Guacira Lopes Louro (1994, 1997, 2001, 2004, 2013th and 2013b) Judith Butler (2002, 2008, 2013, 2013th), Michel Foucault (1982, 1987.1988, 200, 2004, 2011 and 2012), Pierre Bourdieu (1975.1989, 2003 and 2012), Teresa De Lauretis (2006) Richard Miskolci (2005) among othe @s. Qualitative data were divided into three blocks interpretation and analysis: representations and personal narratives about sexuality; representations and narratives about youth sexuality in the school context and discussions about sexuality in the family prism. The results demonstrate the need for debate on gender and sexuality, so that we alls Wrapped @s in school and in the family, in partnership working with other social organizations, can contribute to privileged spaces for questioning and destabilization of hegemony compulsory the heteronormative model.Item Família e escola no processo educacional de filhos e filhas de pais homossexuais(Universidade Católica do Salvador, 2009) Magalhães, Selma Reis; Castro, Mary Garcia; http://lattes.cnpq.br/; Cavalcanti, Vanessa Ribeiro Simon; http://lattes.cnpq.br; Oliveira, Tereza Cristina de; http://lattes.cnpq.brThe dissertation aims to analyze the issue of gay parenting on children´s educational and daughters in the family and school, in a society whose moral and social values are directly linked to heterosexuality. Research focus on academic productions in the area of Social Sciences on homosexuality – parenting, marital and relationship – and interviews with heterosexual and homosexual men, parents with school-age children and educators. The final output demand through the chapters discuss the identity of homosexuality, gay parenting projects, concepts of families, including the homo-sex education within the family and school, from the social construction of sexuality in the formaion of contemporary social West identities. The analysis are made about how homosexuality is thought of and for whom it is produced, considering the nature-culture dichotomy and the role of production of the heterosexual paradigm in social context. Therefore, the polarity of the sexes is a determinant for sexual orientation in the family and school. Conflicts, contradictions and generalizations of opinions about homo sexuality are directly related to education, whether in family or school, marked by the orthodoxy of the breeding and care as functions of the male-female pair, without open spaces for training in diversity.Item Integralidade da atenção à saúde: a percepção de mulheres em um serviço de aborto legal(Universidade Catolica de Salvador, 2014-08-21) Silva, Ana Maria de Oliveira; Castro, Mary Garcia; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5471996580293552; Bortoli, Mari Aparecida; Delgado, Josimara Aparecida; Menezes, Greice Maria de SouzaThis work presents the results of an exploratory study with a qualitative approach, that have analyzed the perception of women that performed abortion, in cases provided by law, about the attention received in referential statewide service in Salvador, Bahia, electing as the analysis axis the principle of integral attention. Starting from the hypothesis that the integral attention to women's health, seeking legal abortion, is compromised because, although exists in current legislation, is not consummated due to the shortage of information, discontinuity of the procedures and insufficiency of services; we established as the general objective the understanding of women undergoing legal abortion perspective about the attention received. Order to better discuss the concept of integrality, undertakes assay by documental investigation about the construction of health care politics in Brazil, with emphasis on the Sistema Único de Saúde (Unified Health System), the legal abortion, and the debate on the nexus between gender, violence and abortion. Interviews were conducted with three women who performed abortion in referential statewide service, using a semistructured interview guide, and the analysis was divided into categories related to the perception of the service received in legal abortion service, before, during and after termination of pregnancy. Ethical aspects were respected. The construction process allows us to understand that abortion care process, entered in the framework of respect for women’s human rights and the free exercise of their reproductive rights, still faces socio-cultural-religious obstacles within the unequal power relations dynamics, perpetrated and reproduced by naturalization of gender differences. Pregnancy resulting from sexual violence encompasses different expressions of the social issue and indicates the complexity of facing the problem. The information produced achieved the specific objectives of identifying the sociodemographic characteristics of these women and know their perception of the care provided before, during and after the process of termination of pregnancy, and understand that, despite the integral attention to women's health seeking legal abortions be achieved partially, it is compromised, given the limits indicated in the service.Item Jovens de famílias de classes populares de Salvador e suas representações sociais sobre a violência apresentada no telejornalismo policial(Universidade Católica do Salvador, 2016-11-04) Santos, Carine de Miranda; Castro, Mary Garcia; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5471996580293552; Pinho, Osmundo Santos de Araújo; Bastos, Ana Cecília de Sousa BittencourtThis dissertation investigates social representations through young and poor people discourses on violence that are presented by police newscast content in Salvador, Brazil. Therefore, researches about social representations, contemporary youth of popular classes and the police newscast in Brazil, its history and current configuration were made. The research was based on quantitative and qualitative methods and the research field took place at a state school located in “Cajazeiras”, a popular neighborhood in Salvador. We examined 190 questionnaires, 9 editions of TV newscast called "Ronda" and "Que Venha o Povo" of “TV Aratu” broadcast and “Balanço Geral” of “TV Itapuã” broadcast and conducted six focal groups to listen to the speeches of the young people involved. Through questionnaires, it was possible to know young people demographic data, socio-economic conditions of their families, their customs and habits in relation to the news hearing. Audiovisual analysis of TV programs were essential to be acquainted with contents, speeches and violence that are presented by the TV. Listening to these young people through the focal groups allowed a better understanding of their social representations of violence that are reported by the police newscast in Salvador.Item Jovens e cidadãos? uma análise sobre o princípio de cidadania ativa no ProJovem Urbano(Universidade Catolica de Salvador, 2013-05-31) Carvalho, Leila Tibiriçá de; Castro, Mary Garcia; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5471996580293552; Delgado, Josimara Aparecida; Calazans, Márcia Esteves de; Silva, Ronalda BarretoFaced with social inequalities evident throughout the history of Brazil, many young people are treated as a "social problem" to be contained or assisted, repeating a negative codification, not considering themselves as citizen-subjects. From the discussion on the construction of citizenship in Brazilian policies, this study aims to analyze the concept of active citizenship in the ideals of the National Youth Inclusion (Urban ProJovem - PJU) and the discussion on the scope and limits of this, as well as its practical, to conceive it as part of a Public Policy for Youth (PPJs) in this country. The aim is thus to analyze the actions developed in PJU (planning, implementation and evaluation) from 2008 to 2011, so that young people recognize their rights and duties, seek to know their rights and know how to recognize the rights of others, like members belonging to a community. This study aims to make a documental analysis referring to different moments of the program Urban ProJovem having as basic field a reading of documentation on the PJU itself, considering the literature related to youth policies and citizenship. For this analysis, so further, we turn to some semi-structured interviews with young people who participated in the PJU in Salvador in 2010. The data were organized and described through the analysis of discourse (LEFEVRE; LEFEVRE, 2005; GILL, 2002) establishing categories according to the research objectives. From this analysis it appears to lag the concepts presented in the planning of this program what occurred in practice, contributing to the actual emptying of citizenship concept because of the plurality of definitions. It is also noticed a difficulty of the young people interviewed in recognize themselves as active-subjects belonging to the Brazilian society and responsible for the transformation of reality where they are inserted, which contributes to the questioning of the coherence between these actions of the PJU and of the PPJs. Thus, this study aims to contribute to the growth of publications on the recognition of young people as citizens, by enabling to identify possible points of discussion for the development of policies aimed at the development of the principle of active citizenship and contribute to building academic- scientific and social on Brazilian youths.Item Juventude homoerótica e projeto de vida familiar: a paternidade silenciada(Universidade Catolica de Salvador, 2015-04-10) Magalhães, Selma Reis; Castro, Mary Garcia; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5471996580293552; Messeder, Suely Aldir; Menezes, José Euclimar Xavier de; Lima, Tatiane de Lucena; Alcântara, Miriã Alves Ramos de; Cavalcanti, Vanessa Ribeiro SimonAiming to extend knowledge of gay parenting, the research is based at homoerotic youth and family life projects, with vectors matters that involve the surrounding meaning of "being a father or "experience paternity"; "Be present", regardless reproductive character; be participatory in sons and daughters intellectual, psychological and moral development. Fatherhood and homoerotic youth are directed to gender and sexuality studies, in a society where thereby favoring the look at reproductions of social roles and positions of the male and female, inherited from the past and supported at present by the social on the pretext of regularity social relations. Adds relatively stable subsets, recurrent on a daily situation marked by unequal and powerful relations, built on investigation, as the socioeconomic and ethnic factors experienced by the survey actors participants. In this perspective, the research analyzes the paternity from the speeches of homoerotic youth about their family life projects. Youth appears in this scenario when considering the stage were the sexuality trial involves various social and cultural dimensions, regarding to sexual identity and gender, specifically about the eroticism and emotional factors. Parenthood in life project represents a personal achievement or not for young survey participants, but also in each one imaginary, be part or not of the process build and collective representation when it gives them social recognition of ancestry. Extends to homoerotic youth, as long as parenthood is not seen as a vital value of personal achievement, that’s why it is silenced, lived as an experience that may or may not occur parallel to other life projects considered by them as more important. Regarding to the family during the research, I address special attention, because I understand that inside her educational activities and the internal dynamics involving issues about sexual orientation are guided by the human dignity principle and existential aspects appreciation to ensure, above all, personality rights and physical integrity. Through material and symbolic actions, the family has a very important role in youth life, under analysis, an influence resulting often subtle actions, not always knowingly and intentionally directed, but through the actions assume interdependence relations among its members and with those around . The theoretical background studies about gender, sexuality and education are presented in an important way to understand, through school, the centrality and social mechanisms related to the sexual binary operation for the social life organization, with careful criticism of a policy of knowledge and the difference, considering the educational practices as a strong performance engine, able to control and disciplinary bodies and minds.Item Juventude(s) e escola: um estudo de caso sobre as expectativas dos jovens estudantes quanto à construção do conhecimento em Ciências Naturais(Universidade Catolica de Salvador, 2013-05-27) Menezes, Janaina de Oliveira; Castro, Mary Garcia; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5471996580293552; Delgado, Josimara Aparecida; Gomes, Selma BorgesThe present research was carried out due to the concern that was generated by the expectation demonstrated by young students in regard to the school and the knowledge that was built there. The main objective of this study was to identify how the relation between student and school takes place concerning knowledge building. In analyzing this relation we took into consideration both the expectations that these youngsters have towards the school and the way that their expectations are received and/or identified in it. In the theoretical field, we started our research with the concepts of youth for José Machado Pais (2003), of knowledge for Boaventura de Souza Santos (1989, 1999, 2010), of teaching sciences for Rubem Alves (1999, 2000), and of criticism toward knowledge institutionalization for Tomaz Tadeu da Silva (1995). After data collecting, we found the necessity to consider other authors as well, which helped us reach the objective of our study through their thoughts. To name: Maria Carmem Tacca (2006), Umberto de Andrade Pinto (2008), Maria Helena Souza Patto (1993) and Mário Sérgio Cortella (2009). This is a qualitative research, defined as case study which uses the combination of two research instruments: observation and interview. In this endeavor, we analyzed a public school in the State of Bahia located in the Itabuna city. Such observations and interviews tried to indentify the students’ expectations as well as the school’s interpretation of these expectations. We wished to point out that these youngster’s expectations regarding the school are very little since they are embargoed by adverse conditions. The teachers don’t have their expectations fulfilled either and therefore, they do not draw up acceptance proposals for the youngster’s expectations. Finally, there is a sense of nuisance installed in the school that blocks the creation of new expectations.Item La persona, el matrimonio y la familia en el pensamiento de Karol Wojtyla(Universidade Católica do Salvador, 2007-10-19) Ortega, Edwin Casadiego; Petrini, João Carlos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/; Castro, Mary Garcia; http://lattes.cnpq.br; Mahfoud, Miguel; http://lattes.cnpq.brThis dissertation is a critical and systematic study of the thought of Karol Wojtyla on the ethical, philosophical and theological foundations of a suitable anthropology, which seeks to elucidate constitutive factors of human love, marriage and the familial relations, in the context of the cultural, ethical and religious pluralism of contemporary society. The work is developed in three moments: the first one is an approximation to contextualize the anthropological debate in current society, where changes in the way of understanding sexuality, procreation, marriage, the familial relations, paternity and maternity are in evidence; the second one centres on Wojtyla's offer of a "suitable anthropology" that must be understood as personalistic anthropology that has its foundation in the anthropology of communion, and among the topics that are approached here are the dimension of the body, the human drama and the experience of the "gift of self"; the third moment refers to the anthropological elements that lead to understanding the couple and the family as spaces of communion where the man draws his own living portrait through the experience freedom and love. In this dissertation the bibliographical method was in use, working with four types of sources: firstly, Karol Wojtyla texts, principally the philosophical writings and the catechesis on human love; secondly, modern and contemporary, national and international authors who do a critique of the loss of the promises of modernity, placing in evidence an anthropological debate; thirdly, authors who comment or come closer to Wojtyla's thought, a varied literature of authors that enriches the different levels of reflection. The relevant thing in this work is to see that Wojtyla does not try to offer a philosophy of Catholic Christianity, canonizing or restricting it to one philosophical current especially, according to him; every philosophical system has its own method, which makes it independent in relation to the faith or to any religious practice. His anthropological reflection is a reaction to those theses or ideas that distort or idealize the vision of man, denying his relational dimension or communion, which is an important aspect to understand the value of marriage and family in society.Item Mães da resistência: histórias de vida de jovens mães do Movimento dos Sem Teto da Bahia(Universidade Católica do Salvador, 2011-02-17) Souza, Helaine Pereira de; Cavalcanti, Vanessa Ribeiro Simon; http://lattes.cnpq.br/; Castro, Mary Garcia; http://lattes.cnpq.br; Almeida, Antonio Jorge Fonseca Sanches de; http://lattes.cnpq.brAs women that have their trajectory marked by a pregnancy in the adolescence entwine between militancy and maternity, in the moment that they go to public to claim demands of the private? Taking from Maieutics and having as theoretic basis the social representations, the argumentation that references the ideas here exposed, part of an essayistic work turned to the concept of emancipation as well as the concept of subordination, on the bodily experiences of the feminine body. In order to do so, harbored in an interdisciplinary work, guided in the fields of Medicine, Anthropology, History, Analytic Psychology, Sociology, Ethics and Philosophy – the research pinpoints as its main objective, to investigate if the contemporary Brazilian woman’s body, facing the conquers reached mainly in the last six decades, has been acting as one of the pillars of the autonomy of the “self”, or as a factor of annulment, staring the social, cultural, media and aesthetic boundaries. Methodological, epistemological, and somewhat deontological problems were pondered with basis on the thought that in human species there are males and females, if this distinction is fruit of natural realities, social realities or both. Such questions, were articulated, were fixed as reference to ideas defended by Carole Pateman (1993) and Heleieth B. Saffioti (2001, 2011), regarding the persistency of patriarchy, and Judith Butler’s (2010) assumptions, and Beatriz Preciado (2008), among other authors which pore over gender, sexuality and performances studies. With the same value, the critics of consumerist society, inserted in the integrated social spectacle, in Guy Debord’s ideas (1997), were relevant analysis points, in this plural work, that while moving between tyranny of images and submission of feminine bodies, brought to reflection the power exercised by the media over the investigated object, hence fetichism.Item A mulher trabalhadora doméstica na família contemporânea: avanços e silêncios na legislação atual do serviço doméstico no Brasil e na Argentina, considerando convenção da OIT e percepções de mulheres competentes sobre o campo e com trajetórias nesse serviço(Universidade Catolica de Salvador, 2015-12-04) Souza, Maria das Graças Neves de; Castro, Mary Garcia; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5471996580293552; Val, Eduardo Manuel; Castro, Celso Luiz Braga de; Cavalcanti, Vanessa Ribeiro SimonIn this dissertation we analyze the struggle of domestic workers to obtaining the same rights and guarantees defined for other classes of workers that also perform paid professional activity. We discuss the proclamation of Constitutional Amendment n. 72/2013 and the no equivalence between domestic and non-domestic employees. Thus, the aim is to analyze the process of valuation of domestic workers in Brazil, confronting the establishment and enforcement of legal regulations with opening prerogatives that culminate with the maintenance of inequality among these workers. For this, a historical survey of the regulations is necessary, attempting to achieve awareness and the emergence of new attitudes in the relationship between employer and domestic worker as well as the barriers in the practice of the new rules, hurting one of the principles of the Federal Constitution which is the preservation of human dignity. The research was divided into four parts. The first chapter examines the conceptual identification of domestic workers and the conditions that allow recognition for classification and framing the group as well as the historical evolution of domestic work in Brazil and also it brings the contemplated rights and the ones not established on the Constitutional Amendment n. 72/2013.
