The formal education environment can contribute through environmental education together with the correct management of waste to confront this situation. The study aims to analyze the current production and direction of solid waste, as well as the perceptions and habits of social actors in a public school, on the issue, as a subsidy to propose a solid waste management plan (SWMP) for school unit. The research has a qualitative quantitative approach consisting in an action research as it aims at using the results obtained, the proposition that plan. The study involved the identification of the generation sector and the quantitative and qualitative characterization of recyclable waste produced, and the paper, the type of recyclable material found in greater proportion. And in order to understand and analyze the perceptions and habits of the school community was applied questionnaires to students, teachers and staff. Analysis of the questionnaires it was established that the school community in general, shows concern for environmental issues, the majority shall be responsible for the proper disposal of waste, which is a positive aspect on the issue, the professional participants suggested actions for waste management at schools as implementation of selective collection, educational activities with encouraging the responsible consumption. The proposition of (SWMP) is intended to promote the environmentally sound disposal of solid waste and enable through the inserted environmental education project in this context, awareness of the school community to the importance of individual and collective environmental responsibility focused on the issue of solid waste management enabling the formation of multipliers of the theme in the community.Item Avaliação da composição de espécies de macrófitas aquáticas em ecossistemaslênticos perenes do Parque das Dunas, Salvador - BA(Universidade Catolica de Salvador, 2016-08-31) Souza, Esthalin Moreira da Silva de; Tinôco, Moacir Santos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0433618384031837; Benati, Kátia Regina; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1202722851013635; Menezes, Christiano Marcelino; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0853917234652230; Peres, Marcelo César Lima; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1614799098745668The aquatic continental ecosystems represent a system still not well known and quite threatened by human action, especially the coastal areas which suffer from industrial, touristic and real estate speculation. The aquatic macrophytes are essential to the balance of the aquatic environment, because they support a large number of organisms and they respond well to different environmental gradients that are formed laterally along the spring. Considering the depletion of the water quality of hydric sources, especially in lentic ecosystems of the north coast of Bahia state, is increasing dramatically due to human actions. This study aims to evaluate the species composition of aquatic macrophytes in lentic ecosystems of Parque das Dunas, the last urban source of the dune ecosystem, lagoons and resting areas in Brazil. The floristic survey and collecting water samples were performed in all perennial ponds of the park between the months of November and December 2015. The floristic survey and water samples collecting were performed in all perennial ponds of the park between the months of November and December 2015. Five visits were made to the park, with eight hours per day, totalizing 40 hours of field activities. Forty species belonging to thirty-five genera and twenty-four families were recorded in the floristic inventory, and also the analysis of 8 physicochemical parameters. This work can verify the list of parameters to the species of aquatic plants, especially those related to organic matter, resulting in the identification of an advanced process of Eleocharis interstincta infestation at Lagoa do Jacaré and an initial process at Lagoa do Junco. These results are extremely important data that will help support programs to environmental planning and management of aquatic macrophytes in the park, and in flooded areas of restinga ecosystem. Beyond that, it was made the field guide of aquatic macrophytes of Parque das Dunas, which will have usability all along the north coast of Bahia state, once the species contained therein have a wide geographical distribution and the region has a large deficiency of specific materials for aquatic flora, thus the guide will assist environmental licensing work, management plans and recovery of water bodies.Item Avaliação dos impactos socioambientais gerados pelo Programa Luz Para Todos em comunidades do Baixo Sul da Bahia(Universidade Católica de Salvador, 2019-03-27) Leal, Luciana Braga Bacelar; Alva, Juan Carlos Rossi; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2039696191553980; Peres, Marcelo César Lima; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1614799098745668; Silva, Iracema Reimão; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5704701054728240Human activities depend on energy to improve the quality of life. So much so that the United Nations (UN) has included access to energy, in its most varied sources, as one of the Sustainable Development Objectives (ODS). Goal 7 provides for a goal by 2030 to ensure universal, reliable, sustainable, modern and affordable access to energy for all (UNDP, 2015). Brazil advances in this objective through the Program of Universalization of the Electric Assistance "Light for All" (LPT). The present study sought to evaluate the environmental impacts after the implementation of electricity distribution networks in the rural communities of the Southern Lowlands Identity Territory (LIT) served by the LPT in Bahia, aiming to guide the environmental actions during the project and the implementation of the networks power. This dissertation presents the case study, with 08 localities served by the networks and inserted in the rural area of the Southern Lowlands. The main economic activity of the communities served by the above energy networks is agriculture, predominantly small and medium sized private properties (sites and farms), with various crops and subsistence crops. There was suppression of vegetation in 37.5% of the points surveyed, in 100% of these points it was verified that the width of the easement range was within the specified measure (up to 15 meters). At the points surveyed the intervention on the vegetation affected small fragments of native vegetation scattered and diffuse along the lines of the energy lines surveyed. Regarding the construction residues generated in the works, no remains of construction materials, debris remains and other materials discarded in the easement range were found, but remains of woody material were located in 21% of the points surveyed. This study points directly to the relation between access to energy and the improvement in quality of life of most of those assisted by the LPT Program, mainly in the basic benefits such as access to home appliances, information through television and cell phones and negative environmental impacts. being minimized with environmental management actions carried out by Coelba.Item Caracterização da escorpiofauna do parque estadual das sete passagens, Bahia, Brasil(Universidade Católica do Salvador, 2018-10) Souza, Phelipe Rêgo Lisboa de; Cavalcante, Lucas da Conceição; Benati, Kátia Regina; Peres, Marcelo César Lima; UCSAL, Universidade Católica do SalvadorItem Coleção entomológica (lepidoptera) da Universidade Católica do Salvador das espécies coletadas no Grande Moinho Aratu (Bahia - Brasil)(Universidade Católica do Salvador, 2006-10) Araújo, Luzia Barbosa; Peres, Marcelo César Lima; UCSAL, Universidade Católica do SalvadorItem Conhecimento local e percepção ambiental de pescadores artesanais: uma estratégia de educação ambiental(Universidade Catolica de Salvador, 2018-02-26) Silva-Meneses, Fernanda Vera Cruz; Pimentel, Patrícia Carla Barbosa; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2048574640647443; Peres, Marcelo César Lima; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1614799098745668; Pinho, Ana Sueli Teixeira de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6649541365596258; Silva, Eder Carvalho da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1255883595571156Item Conservação do manguezal no ritual das marisqueiras paparutas(Universidade Católica do Salvador, 2018-08-30) Paixão, Angélica dos Santos da; Peres, Marcelo César Lima; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1614799098745668; Mourad, Laila Nazem; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8464508890621003; Porciuncula, Débora Carol Luz da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1801383100333154; Carvalho, Marcos Oliveira de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9136891722668053The present study seeks to awaken perceptions about the importance of preservation and conservation of the mangrove ecosystem and the close relationship between the natural elements that composes this ecosystem and the survivor of millions of people on the planet, highliting the traditional community that resides in the locality of this study, the island of Paty, located in the municipality of São Francisco do Conde in State of Bahia. They have as main objective to associate the socio-economic and artistic context of the Paparutas cultural group composed of fisherwoman from Island of Paty, to the environmental conservation of the island’s mangrove, since they use they fruits as a source of food, income generation and also include them as a central element of the cultural manifestation they participate in. The study brings the Paparutas cultural manifestation to the center of the educational proposal on mangroves, believing that they artistic presentations can constitute a differentiated educational path, fomenting reflections on the environment responsibility of the society in relation to the mangroves in a ludic and comprehensive way. This work presents an approach within the exploratory line, and from this perspective, was used as instruments of information collection: bibliographic collection, documentary research, field research, conversation wheels and semi-structured interviews (involving the fisherwoman paparutas of Paty). It was observed from the listening of the interviewees that they considered the conservation of the mangroves to be fundamental and were unanimous in affirming that it’s up to each one of them the main responsibility for taking care of the ecosystem in the area. In this sense, the research recommends, that the cultural group Paparutas can adapt in a collaborative way in their presentations, some calls that provoke the sensibilization of the present public, for the environmental conservation of the mangrove. The study also adds the production of a video type short film, presenting nuances of the mangrove ecosystem, fisherwoman routine, and the presentation of the Paparutas, with the intention of using it as an educational resource to several public in different spaces.Item Desafios e perspectivas das questões ambientais na Escola Municipal Almirante Ernesto de Mourão Sá no município de Salvador-BA(Universidade Católica do Salvador, 2019-05-28) Lima, José Carlos; Peres, Marcelo César Lima; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1614799098745668; Santos, José Jackson Reis dos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5204751662721268; Benati, Kátia Regina; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1202722851013635Environmental education is a vehicle for the achievement, within the empirical, of the State of Environmental Law, after all citizens with access to information have better conditions to act on society, to articulate their ideas and act on the causes of your interest. The present work aims to demonstrate how аѕ environmental practices can be an excellent pedagogical tool for critical education in the elementary school.Using the proposed cross-discipline developed through generating themes extracted from the analysis of the constitution and the laws specific environmental, students will be able to become agents of social-environmental transformation. Through environmental education critical and transdisciplinary approach to art.225 of the CF/88, the Law 9.394/1996 LDB and the Law 9.795/1999 ԛuе establishes the National Policy of Environmental Education are analyzed and compared demonstrating the opportunities of the pedagogical work in different ways.Pointing always to social transformation, environmental justice and critical positioning of the learners in front of the true relations of power involved in environmental issues. In obtaining treated water using reverse osmosis equipment, on average 1/3 of the water entering the system is discarded as saline (waste water). The reuse of the concentrate generated by reverse osmosis treatment in the dialysis clinics can favor a significant financial saving, however, more relevant than the financial economy, can represent the economy in the spending of the natural resources. In view of this, this work seeks to study the volume and fate given to waste water - also called concentrate, generated during the treatment of water for hemodialysis by reverse osmosis, in a dialysis center within a hospital institution in the city of Salvador- BA. The present study is a descriptive case study, with a quantitative approach of an applied nature, of the non-participating observational type, with the purpose of describing and characterizing the information collected regarding the number of dialyzed patients in a clinic, assessing the volume of waste water is produced by each treatment and describes the technique used to discard this water. After investigating and counting the total volume of reject water generated by Reverse Osmosis, it was identified that there is no reuse of waste water, the final product of the reverse osmosis process of the clinic in question, as a product of the work, given one of the objectives of the study was elaborated a proposal in the format of a Technical Note directed to DIVISA (Division of Sanitary Surveillance), the Technical Note proposed as a result of this work aims to bring light and awareness about the need to reuse wastewater in clinics.Item Diversidade de escorpiões em altitudes elevadas em uma área de conservação na caatinga(Universidade Católica do Salvador, 2019-10) Souza, Phelipe Rêgo Lisboa de; Benati, Kátia Regina; Peres, Marcelo César LimaItem Educação ambiental na escola: limites e possibilidades para o desenvolvimento de uma horta escolar em frente a abordagem interdisciplinar(Universidade Catolica de Salvador, 2016-01-28) Brito, Maria Aparecida Lima; Peres, Marcelo César Lima; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1614799098745668; Portella, André Alves; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1782631349656661; Martins, Valmir Farias; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5995246863621264The National Environmental Education Policy states the need for environmental education to be present in an integrated and permanently throughout formal education process. This requires overcoming the common sense perspective upon the environment toward a vision where living beings, nature, the environment and the mankind keep an interaction relationship. This study aimed to analyze the limits and possibilities for the development of a garden inside the school through interdisciplinary project “Plantando a Paz”, applied in State Highschool Luiz Rogério de Souza which has the Environmental Education present in in the teaching of the institution. For this study there was an exploratory qualitative approach through a participatory research. At first a bibliographic and documentary research will be presented, in the second time field study based on speeches and experiences that permeate the school environment, followed by questionnaires. The project development provide an individual learning environment, contributing significantly to collective social and establish new ways to be, to act, to perceive, to understand and put in front of one inner self and its fellow men/woman. On the analysis of changes in the College after the implementation of the project, the results indicate that the inserted EA in an interdisciplinary way opens up possibilities for innovation in teaching practices, giving new meaning to the school environment and reflecting positively in relationships and in the reality of students in relation to levels of pass / fail and attendance.Item Educação ambiental na perspectiva da melhoria sócio-espacial: reflexões a partir do projeto “Caia na Rede” implantado na comunidade do Bate Facho - Salvador-BA(Universidade Catolica de Salvador, 2016-01-11) Pinto, Adenilda Couto Barbosa; Peres, Marcelo César Lima; http://buscatextual.cnpq.br/buscatextual/visualizacv.do?id=K4794397A8; Tinôco, Moacir Santos; Martins, Valmir FariasThis dissertation analyzes the project “Caia na Rede” of the Environmental Education Program Environmental-Unit Jaguaribe Odebrecht in order to verify if adolescents, the Bate Facho community that participated in the project “Caia na Rede” in the period from 2012 to in 2013, they changed their attitude towards socio-spatial improvements. Many companies in fulfillment of its social responsibility carry out socio-educational activities in its surrounding communities to promote the conservation of the environment and the territory in which they operate. The approach used to address the issue of research, we start from the premise that environmental education is an environmental management process that presents itself in two ways, serving various corporate projects in the critical and conservative conceptions. Thus, the research demonstrates that environmental education can allow individuals to reflect on the social, political, environmental and economic, within the socio-spatial dynamics that are inserted to various problems and site improvements solution. The methodology used consisted of bibliographical research, documentary and descriptive qualitative approach, which allows us to understand not only the concepts of space, territory, environmental issues, environmental education, technological learning processes combined with environmental education, environmental management and social responsibility, but inter-relate them. The research instruments used were semi-structured interviews and using a questionnaire to trace the socioeconomic profile of the participants, degree of knowledge about the environment and digital content and finally, if there was a change of attitude towards the environment. The results obtained from the interviews and the questionnaires have ratified the two hypotheses. The first points out that through the actions of the project “Caia na Rede” participants can be included digitally and have access to environmental information. The second hypothesis is that participants may have changed attitudes towards the area, however, they failed to contribute to socio-spatial improvements. Therefore, it became clear that the environmental issue, although it is understood in a fragmented way by the participants, who do not understand the interrelationships between nature, individual and society, necessary for socio-spatial improvements.Item Educação, riscos e vulnerabilidades socioambientais(Universidade Católica do Salvador, 2020-04-07) Gomes Neto, Osvaldo José de Souza; Peres, Marcelo César Lima; http://lattes.cnpq.br/; Giudíce, Dante Severo; http://lattes.cnpq.br/; Oliveira, Clélia Nobre de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/This work is divided into two chapters in the form of articles in addition to the general introduction and final consideration. This integrative review aims to analyze Brazilian scientific productions with the theme: education, risks and social and environmental vulnerabilities in urban periphery, aiming to analyze the approaches and actions in environmental education as a contribution to mitigate the social and environmental risks and vulnerabilities in these communities. Researches were extracted from the Google Scholar databases and CAPES portal from 2009 to 2019. A total of 16 papers were selected to compose the corpus of this article after the processes of inclusion and exclusion in the development of the proposed methodology. The study made it possible to survey works that address education and social and environmental vulnerabilities in an integrated manner among the descriptors that were developed nationwide in the specified period. Studies have pointed out the issue in question which has been developed initially driven by the change in the civil defense code in April 2012, with work mostly carried out by civil defense technicians in communities and schools with project actions, lectures, distribution of pamphlets and workshops, but with an inarticulate process of construction with teachers, institutions and communities. There are also smaller actions done by the teachers to empower the community, which has occurred in a timely and individual manner focused on the discipline of geography and science, requiring a leap for projects that are interdisciplinary which involve all components in the performance and in the construction of the process. The second chapter aimed to identify the social and Environmental vulnerabilities and risks to which students of Dom Avelar Brandão Villela school inserted in Fazenda Grande do Retiro can be submitted, aiming to propose actions in education in the community and stimulate structuring governmental actions in the region. For the methodological development it was proposed to identify vulnerabilities and risks through primary data with questionnaires to students of Dom Avelar B. Villela School, photomagnetic image and secondary data acquired from organs such as IBGE, CONDER and IPEIA. The results show that the area has a high index of social vulnerability, with an enthroned area, without vegetation, polluted river, large volume of waste that provides favorable conditions for disease-bearing animals. The population is vulnerable and susceptible to risks that have materialized in environmental disasters. The work in environmental education with prevention actions in DRR becomes pertinent, so that these communities can act in an attempt to mitigate the vulnerabilities and risks that are subjected and that has intensified with each passing year.Item Efeito da morfologia foliar da serapilheira sobre a riqueza de formigas (formicidae), em dois remanescentes de mata atlântica(Universidade Católica do Salvador, 2018-10) Rodrigues, Victória Emanuelle Oliveira; Carvalho, Amanda Oliveira de; Benati, Kátia Regina; Peres, Marcelo César Lima; UCSAL, Universidade Católica do SalvadorItem Espécies de aves de rapina mais utilizadas nas empresas de falcoaria do Brasil(Universidade Católica do Salvador, 2019-12-12) Peixoto, Érico Cunha; Carvalho, Anderson Abbehusen Freire de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/; Gouveia, Pedro Monteiro de Castro; http://lattes.cnpq.br/; Peres, Marcelo César Lima; http://lattes.cnpq.br/; Lobo, Duílio Francisco; http://lattes.cnpq.br/Falconry has been practiced by mankind for many years throughout history, including birds that can capture prey through specific techniques of killing in the air or on land. This article brings us a quantitative and qualitative research of birds used by falconry companies in the national territory, seeking to identify the relevance and the reason why certain species are present so often and in quantity in most of these institutions. Parabuteo unicinctus stands out among the marked birds and the main reason for this highlight is its behavioral and social characteristics.Item Experiências de municípios que implantaram políticas e planos municipais de saneamento básico com uma metodologia participativa e com gestão pública: uma proposta de minuta de projeto de lei para o município de Salvador (BA)(Universidade Católica do Salvador, 2014-10-09) Santos, Pedro Romildo Pereira dos; Portella, André Alves; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1782631349656661; Peres, Marcelo César Lima; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1614799098745668; Moraes, Luiz Roberto Santos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1754614469917208According to Law 11.445 / 2007 of 5 January 2007 establishing national guidelines for basic sanitation and for the federal basic sanitation policy, the city of Salvador, Bahia, must comply with policies and basic sanitation plans so you can access features federal and invest in the sector. Thus, this work aims to present draft draft law on sanitation policy for the city of Salvador, Bahia. This is a legal-political instrument for public application that can be adapted to other cities in the state of Bahia. To achieve the goal we applied the qualitative method, through case study, bibliographic and documentary research, on which we proceeded inductive analysis in dialogue with the literature. The proposal is intended as a guideline for legislators and public managers can put in the "order of the day" the urgency to pursue the improvement of public service delivery universalized through saneanento sector, offering quality services to the population regularly affordable price.Item Fatores associados à distribuição de Aedes Albopictus (Scuse,1984): uma revisão sistemática(Universidade Católica do Salvador, 2019-12-11) Vasconcelos, Lucas Pereira de; Peres, Marcelo César Lima; lattes.cnpq.br; Melo, Tércio da Silva; lattes.cnpq.br; Rego, Filipe Ferreira de Almeida; lattes.cnpq.brItem Gerenciamento de impactos ambientais na cultura da pinha (Annona Squamosa L.) em Presidente Dutra-Ba(Universidade Católica do Salvador, 2018-08-20) Galvão, Adriano Pinto; Alva, Juan Carlos Rossi; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2039696191553980; Peres, Marcelo César Lima; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1614799098745668; Silva, Suely Xavier de Brito; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4318335166509772The municipality of Presidente Dutra-BA is known nationally as World Capital of Sugar-apple (Annona squamosa L.), a acquired characteristic, over the years, by its favorable environmental conditions, adapted labor to production and commercialization. Until the late 1990s, rainfed production (rainwater use) was concentrated. In the last decade, irrigation has begun with increasingly advanced cultivation methods, mainly with monoculture production, triggering environmental impacts. This work has as its theme the management of environmental impacts on the sugar-apple crop (Annona squamosa L.). It was developed with the following objectives: to characterize its production; identify the impacting activities, according to the physical means, biotic and anthropic, generated by its cultivation; to use the interaction matrix derived from the Leopold matrix as an environmental impact assessment method; and to propose mitigating and / or compensatory measures for their culture. The Leopold matrix, which is used globally relating the magnitude and importance of the associated impact, was designed with the purpose of evaluating these impacts. It was divided into phases of implantation, management and harvesting/commercialization of this crop and related to physical, biotic and anthropic impacts. The research approach was of an exploratory nature, based on the application of a case study. In this study, the work routine, habits, information and behavior of the target public were taken into account, having as methodology the literature review and on-site evaluation with photographic records. Through these records, five more aggressive impacts were detected: deforestation, erosion, tubular wells, the use of pesticides and the intoxication of natural resources and the fruit consumed. The latter resulting from the lack of control in the municipality of the application of agricultural pesticides. In the Leopold matrix, 16 impacts were identified, four of which were beneficial and 12 adverse. For each impact were mitigated and proposed mitigating measures, when adverse, and potentiating, when beneficial. The results obtained were the indiscriminate use of the natural resources, not showing a tendency to concern with conservation of the environment and, on the other hand, the existence of most development potencial in the municipality, if boosting the production of sugar-apple.Item Importância dos sarcofagídeos (diptera: sarcophagidae) na decomposição das carcaças de vertebrados(Universidade Católica do Salvador, 2021-12-16) Calil, Rafaela Mori; Trindade-Santos, Matheus Eduardo; http://lattes.cnpq.br; Peres, Marcelo César Lima; http://lattes.cnpq.br; Ramos, Ramon Lima; http://lattes.cnpq.br
